Guinness verification of Degree Certificate (optional)

WES also require a color copy of your degree certificate send by you apart from transcript from University. However, recently WES has started asking for re-verification of Degree Certificate send by the candidate due to increased fraud. In order to complete the re-verification, University will ask to apply for “Guinness verification of Degree Certificate”. To reduce the chance of WES asking for re-verification and save time later, you can apply for Guinness verification of Degree Certificate along with the transcript and same send to WES instead of you sending the copy of the certificate.

  1. I have applied for a Transcript on February 4th, 2021.
Though it was said that it would take 3 weeks, to obtain the transcript, I have not yet received neither the transcript nor the status of my application.

In between this, after about three weeks, on March 1st I received a mail requesting to send a particular certificate again. I replied to this mail on the very next day(March 2nd) with the requested documents. Since there was no response after this, I contacted section EI-IV over phone, and they responded that my transcript would be issued within a week. After a week, I again contacted them, and they replied the same, i.e., will be issued in a week. This went on till March 23rd.

On March 23rd they told me over the phone that, they haven’t received the mail I have sent on March 2nd. So I send it again.

Since then, i.e., after 23rd March, I have neither received any acknowledgment for my mail nor they are answering my phones. I have even explicitly requested an acknowledgment for my mail which I have not got yet.

For this reason, I am not able to apply for my higher education admission for this academic year. And the application window has already closed for many universities and will be closed for all soon. I am clueless about what to do next.

    Could you please advice.

  7. Hi Sir,

    Could you please help me for the following queries for WES;

    1. In the application page, ‘choose service’ – there have an option for ‘Application for Official transcript of grade points / marks’ – if i choose this option, will university send attested transcript and also the attested degree certificate to WES? OR Do i need to make another application for attested degree certificate ? if yes, there is no option for that!

    2. For re-verification, do we need to apply for genuineness verification at the same initial time or need to wait for wes update?

    Please advise

  8. while filling the details in online application process, I wrongly entered my stream. will it be a problem? If so, how can i correct it?

  9. Hi. I sent the provisional degree certificate copy along with consolidated and individual marksheets as mentioned in the university website instructions. I have uploaded final degree certificate in my WES account. I received a notification from WES that my degree certificate has not been received from the university and statement of marks has been received. I sent all required documents to the university based on the instructions but I do not know why this has happened. Please look into this and assist me.

    1. Usually it is 3 weeks for University to process the application and another 3 weeks to reach WES via India Post. However, due to covid there is a significant backlog and delay from University.

  10. Thank you for your reply.

Just a quick one, I have to do payment now for Re verification of official transcript/Genuineness verification/Degree certificate? Or I have to wait until email confirmation getting from MG University for payment of fees? Up to now I haven’t got any email from University.

I will be grateful if you could help me on this.

    Thanks
    Cheers
