MG University Online Application for Transcript [New Process]

Transcript

Due to COVID19, MG University has now launched an online application process for official transcript requests. If you require a transcript for completing WES education assessment then continue reading to understand the new process.

Online application portal: https://application.mgu.ac.in/

Documents required for application

  • Scanned self-attested copies of the following(Max size: 500KB):-
    • 10th certificate or SSLC book
    • 12th or Plus II Certificate
    • Provisional certificate or UG/PG Degree certificate as applicable.
    • Consolidated mark list /grade cards
    •  For WES/IQAS: A duly filled in Academic Records Request Form to be forwarded to WES/ IQAS with the transcript. Hence, the student is directed to fill up the top portion of the form and put his /her signature at the appropriate column (if applicable).

Fees and other charges

  • Fee for Official Transcript of Marks/Grade points: Rs. 2100/- per copy.
  • Search fee: as shown below:
    • Within one year of publication of result: Nil.
    • After One year of publication of result, but before 5 years: Rs.55/-
    • After 5 year of publication of result, but before 10 years: Rs.105/-
    • After 10 year of publication of result: Rs.265/-
  • Transmission charges are applicable as shown below:
    • Transmission charge(within India): Rs.80/-
    • Transmission charge(Outside India): Rs.420/-
    • Express(Speed) post charges (outside India): Rs.2100/-

How to apply online for Transcript?

  1. Visit https://application.mgu.ac.in/
  2. In the Choose Your Service drop-down select APPLICATION FOR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  3. Scroll down and fill Academic Details as applicable for your course. Note: For Btech select Study Type: Professional/Courses with Fee variation

4. Enter your Contact Details and address to which transcript needs to be sent. For WES, ensure you enter WES address in Address to which the document to be send.

5. Enter Additional Information if any and select applicable option for Where to send the documents and mode of transmission.

6. Upload scanned copies of required documents.

7. Complete Disclaimer and Enter Captcha and click Register

8. You will receive an OTP on your email. Enter OTP and continue

9. Total Fee will be displayed. Click on Proceed to Payment.

10. Complete the payment online to submit the application.

I have already obtained Official Transcript of Mark list/Grade card and wish to get extra copies for WES canada, will the online process be same as applying a fresh transcript (upload semester wise mark list and school certificates) or I can upload the previous Transcript by which university can search and send to WES and only search fees is applicable ?

  3. Based on my discussion with university, my documents were dispatched from university via speedpost. However, the documents are yet to reach WES. Documents were send on 26th May 2020, is it pending because of the condition in India.
    Appreciate your valuable response.

    1. They have provided me the speed post tracking number but that’s is incorrect and I informed the same to university. So they told me that they cannot do anything further as they have done their job. Appreciate your feedback

  4. I applied for transcript for WES via online on 28th July. Payment was through online using debit card. Money is debited from my account but I haven’t received any emails or messages regarding the payment or no receipt received yet. How can I confirm about my payment?

  5. Unfortunately I haven’t upload wes academic form and my individual mark lists. Is it possible to upload it again? Or Could you please let me know what I have to do next?

  6. Hi, On 16th July, I’ve applied for WES evaluation and paid the necessary charges and uploaded all my documents online. I received an email from MG Uni with receipt and application no. Can I know if I can follow up my status regarding this as no one is responding to my mails?

    1. The usual processing time is 3 weeks and another 3-6 weeks for the transcript to reach WES Canada by postal. You can contact on University email for the status even though they rarely respond.

  7. I would like to enquire about the transcript attestation details for Wes.
    I want to apply for my transcript and degree certificate to sent to WES. In the online site should apply for both application for official transcript and application for orginal degree certificate .Also want to know about attestation of the transcript and degree certificate.how to apply for attestation.Is it that we have to mention in additional comments to be attested or is there any other option to be selected .

    1. You need to apply for official transcript and genuineness verification of degree certificate. No need further attestation as it is issued by the University itself and sent directly by them.

  8. I had applied for Official transcripts for PG and UG to be sent to WES which was done by MGU. Later on i was asked to pay the re-verification fees for 4 documents (UG OT+Degree cert, PG OT+Degree cert) and accordingly i paid. Then MGU tells me re-verification for my 2 degree certificates cannot be done as i have not applied for its verification in the first place..So now i have paid for re-verification before doing verification. Went to MGU, the official told me to apply online for genuineness verification of UG and PG degree cert’s and then when MGU asks for re-verification fees, i can produce the re-verification fees receipt then as proof of payment…

    I tried making the online payment and OTP was generated but the payment page didn’t come up..So do i re-do it again??

    The documents i need to upload are my 10th certificate, 12th certificate, Degree certificate and WES ARF ??

  9. Do we need to self attest our semester wise mark list, degree and provisional certificates while uploading? Or self attestation on 10th and Plus two is enough?

  10. After following the above steps and making the payments on 9th July 2020 , I get an email reply today 17th July 2020 to attach challan receipt . Please advice how we can get this challan receipt. Is this possible to be done online ?

  11. Do we need to attach consolidated mark list along with others for WES while applying for transcript from University? I only have semester wise mark/grade card. Is it mandatory for WES to attach a consolidated mark list or semester wise mark list will be enough?

    Also if semester wise mark list is enough, can we make all the semester’s mark list as one document and upload or we need to upload each one separately?

    1. Yes, you can upload all semester mark sheet as a single file if the consolidated mark list is not available.

          1. I contacted University. If you are passing final semester without any pending arrears, then the final semester mark list will have the consolidation of all previous semesters with CGPA. That will be considered as your consolidated mark list.

  12. First of all thank you so much for maintaining this website. I recently had to apply for duplicate marklists and get details about WES application procedure. This site has been very helpful for that.

    I have all my Marklists and would like to apply for consolidated marklist online. However, the option in the page doesn’t clearly mention it. Do you know which is the right option? This is for Btech(completed in 2012).

    1. Thanks. If it is not showing in the online process, it may not be available. Please check with the university.

    I had made my payment on 11th march 2020, post which covid happened and I could not send my documents via post. So now I have my challan but no application number, since At that time online application was not there and i had to physically send documents which could not be done. can the same challan be used to now register the application, and if so how do I do it? ( since to complete application, it requires payment)

    please help me in this regard

  14. I need to request for Bcom transcript for WES application but I did the course in an off campus center in UAE , which option should I select in the college name drop down ? Is there any other solution other than going to the university in kottayam to request this.

    1. For off-campus University had suggested you can select the center of the exam. Not sure if this is applicable in your case.

  15. Do MG univesity give transcripts for pre degree , my college is requiring me to submit secondary education transcripts too . Please reply

          1. I did try calling, no one is answering, due to pandemic situations I guess . I also send them an email.

          2. Even before the pandemic, they were not answering phones and email. You can keep trying or try visiting the university.

  16. How long does mg university take for WES application to process and send it to WES Canada ? Will i get any tracking ID when sent from the university ?

    1. 3 weeks for the university to process and 3-6 weeks for India post to deliver it. If you opt for speed post, you will get tracking.

  17. On June 1st week, I applied for 4 official transcripts through online application. Today I received all 4 envelopes. When I opened one envelope, the office seal was missing in the transcript. Now I’m not sure whether the remaining three have an official seal in it or not. Also for the remaining three, the flap side seal & sign of envelopes are misaligned. How to solve this problem?

      1. I applied it for my admission purposes. So my Q is how can I make sure whether the remaining three transcripts have seal in it or not. Since I need to send it to other Universities, I can’t open the envelope.
